The Perfect Mistake is the solo project of Liam McKiernan, chief songwriter and guitarist of Saturday Saints. McKiernan is writing and recording all the instrumentation on the debut album set to release in Winter 2026.

Blending introspective lyricism with textured guitar work, the project explores a more personal, stripped-down side of McKiernan’s songwriting.

The Perfect Mistake is still heavily rooted in McKiernan’s pop rock sensibilities with more of a focus on storytelling.
