Tom Wardle is a Nottingham-born, New York–based singer, guitarist and songwriter blending pop, rock and soul with sharp songwriting and a lived-in, raspy vocal. Influenced by The Beach Boys, The Beatles and Faces as much as he is Motown and Sinatra, he pairs sun-drenched production with a distinctly British melodic sensibility.
His single Jacqueline was named a Rolling Stone “Song You Need To Know,” praised for its “gritty vocals that echo Rod Stewart,” while his voice has drawn acclaim from music legends including Ronnie Wood (“Sounding great. Gotta share this song!”) and Britain’s biggest radio station BBC Radio 2. (“This song is just gorgeous!”)
Since relocating to the US, Wardle has become a fixture on the New York and Hamptons live circuit, performing at high-end events and private parties, as well as being a favourite at Wölffer Vineyard. His varied career has seen him support Bryan Adams, collaborate with Squeeze’s Chris Difford on Tom's 2019 EP Jacqueline, write music for NBC’s children’s series Babble Bop (Peacock) and feature as a vocalist on South Korea’s most viral TV commercial of 2024 (76 millions views and counting!)
Having released four EPs and a string of singles, Wardle is now completing his debut album, which features members of the Brian Wilson band, and is a return to Tom’s quest of making “classic, epic pop”. The record chronicles a decade of life and his move to America, including standout track Who Turned Out The Lights In Hollywood, co-written with Beach Boys collaborator Van Dyke Parks.
