Dalton is an American/Brazilian mutt. He plays guitar and percussion. Maximus Vanderbeek was given his first conga drum when he was 16 and has a life-long passion for percussion, keyboard, and performing. He earned his Doctorate in World Percussion from the Univ of Maryland (2000) and studied the: congas, djimbe, drumset, frame drums, tablas, and keyboard percussion. He currently is the “Music Coordinator” for the U.M.B.C. Dance Dept, and accompanist and adjunct faculty.
