Ape Theory is an original band based out of Huntington, Long Island, delivering a dynamic sound that blends progressive rock with the soulful influences of legends like Carlos Santana and The Allman Brothers. Our music consists of expressive improvisation and groove-driven energy, creating a style that feels both classic and refreshingly modern. Alongside our original material, we perform a lively mix of funky, crowd-pleasing covers that keep audiences engaged, making every performance unique.

The band features David Diprimo on lead vocals and guitar, Adam Sklar on lead guitar, Johnny Sax on saxophone, Adam Baine on bass, Danny Roman on drums, and Patrick Lehosky on percussion.

Over the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of performing at a variety of venues and festivals across Long Island, building a strong local following while refining a sound that resonates with diverse audiences. We released our first EP, King, on all streaming platforms, showcasing a collective blend of rock, funk, and soul. In addition to the EP, several singles are also available for listening on these platforms.
