The Blues Buddha and Scott Staton

Tom Dudley, aka The Blues Buddha and Scott Staton have been performing together since 2009. Tom is a singer, songwriter and producer (2 CD's, 50 singles and 18 videos since 2010) and was inducted into the NY Blues Hall of Fame in 2015. Scott Staton, a multi-media artist and producer has been in the New York music, art and animation scene since the 1970's. He has played keyboards with Blues artists such as Danny Kalb and Charlie Musselwhite and performed at international Boogie Woogie festivals. In 2007 Scott started the indie record label, www.stoopiddaddyrecords.com.

Scott Staton, a multi-media artist and producer has been involved in the New York music, art and animation scene since the 1970’s. His credits include playing keyboards with artists such as blues greats Danny Kalb of the Blues Project and the legendary Charlie Musselwhite.  He’s also performed Boogie Woogie piano music at international festivals, opened for Dr. John, The Pointer Sisters, Bo Diddley, George Benson and Roomfull of Blues.  His animated short film The Dead Battery on the L.I.E was broadcast on the HBO and SHOWTIME cable networks for over 8 years.  in 2007 Scott started the indie record label, www.stoopiddaddyrecords.com.  He’s also produced a weekly radio show, The Hudson Vally Jam, since 2011.  Scott currently teaches Art and Computer Graphics at Pace University.

Tom Dudley, aka The Blues Buddha, a singer, songwriter and producer (2 CD’s, 50 singles and 18 videos since 2010) was inducted into NY Blues Hall of Fame in 2015 and was a finalist in the The New York Blues and Jazz Society battle of the bands in 2010. In 2011, Tom collaborated with Scott Staton on the SDR CD, “I like it a Lot”, which was picked by Real Blues Magazine in March 2011 for their top 50. In January of 2019, Tom collaborated with New York Hall of fame Guitarist Johnny Feds and Friends for the International Blues Challenge for Best Self Produced CD. Since 2013, Tom’s been a singer for Vincent Pastore’s (Soprano’s HBO show) Gangster squad. One of Tom’s Blues Buddha music videos, produced at Longhill Recording Studios was selected and shown as a finalist for the 2019 Cutting Room International Short Film Festival in New York City. Tom is currently a Creative Director at Road Recovery, a professional entertainment industry non-profit with funding from the Department of justice serving youth clubhouses throughout the 10 empire regions of the state of New York.

Tommy and Scott and have performed with Dave Keyes and Loren Korevec, noted Blues, Boogie Woogie and Swing piano players, for a series of Boogie Woogie Review shows since 2013.  They have also performed at the Annual Westchester Allstars CHRISTMAS for VETERANS show, 6 years running with with past artists like Earl Slick, Bernie Williams, Vanilla Fudge, Tommy James and Gene Cornish of The Young Rascals.  These events have raised raised thousands of dollars for wounded veterans.  Each year original Christmas songs are donated from the Various participating artists for a CD. Scott and Tom collaborated on the original Christmas song ‘I am Missing You” that was included on the 2017 CD release.  Tommy and Scott continue to perform at various clubs and venues in the NY, NJ area.  You can find their music on Spotify, Apple music and other streaming platforms.
