Kelly’s original, Organic Rock/Folk music includes haunting vocals, notable rhythm guitar, piano, keyboard, harmonica and her signature “foot tambourine” playing. While sticking to her roots, Kelly of The Virginia Wolves continues to share the gift of music as medicine, while spreading a message of peace throughout the Catskill Mountains and the beaches of Montauk Long Island…howling in caves, churches, schools, on Sloops, libraries, at mom and pop shops & grass roots festivals, under the sun and the moon.
“Kelly McNally of The Virginia Wolves proudly touts her music as “Organic Rock,” which rightly nails its ultra-earthy acoustic folk-psych sound. She also makes its macrobiotic philosophy physically manifest with the packaging of her debut Curse of the Kill, which arrives in a handmade, recycled brown paper sleeve printed with soy-based ink. Vocal supporter of environmental protection and animal rights, Kelly of The Virginia Wolves walks the talk but lyrically doesn’t beat you over the head with the guilt club, as other, more self-righteous, hippie rockers are wont to do. Despite lead vocalist, guitarist, songwriter Kelly McNally’s unwavering ecological stance, however, Curse of the Kill’s dominant theme is that of peace.”
