MAdbONE

From 1990 to 1997, MAdbONE studied percussion in Spanish Harlem NYC at Boys Harbor School of Performing Arts with Jonny Almendra and Jimmy. Besides percussion, guitar, voice and songwriting were always an important practice. By October 1990 he was regularly playing with Joan Osborne and soon jammed around NYC with great bands like Blues Traveler, The Spin Doctors, Moose and the Bullet Proof Blues Band, The Authority and Blue Note Jazz Guitarist Melvin Sparks. MAdbONE recorded a live album with Melvin in 1996 called ESPM on Cannon Ball Records. On the bill were other jazz greats, Hammond B3 player Charles Earland, sax player Houston Persons and drummer Idris Mohamed. In 1997 he moved to LA and soon started playing with Arik Marshall, former guitarist for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Arik and excellent bass player brother Lonnie asked MAdbONE to join their band Marshall Law. Arik,  Lonnie and MAdbONE also teamed up with Parliament Funkadelic, Phishbone, Trulio Disgracias and some members of Earth Wind and Fire to do various gigs and studio work. MAdbONE recently joined Remember September and has his own band called, you guessed it, “MAdbONE.”
